Vehicle Maintenance Supervisor

Summary

The JUTC is a limited liability company incorporated under the Companies Act of Jamaica and owned by the Government of Jamaica (GOJ). Reporting to the Ministry of Science, Energy, Telecommunications and Transport, the JUTC will be providing public transit services in the western region servicing the parishes of Trelawny, St. James, Hanover, Westmoreland and St. Elizabeth. The Company will deliver public transport services seven days a week and, in some instances, up to 16 hours a day. 💰REMUNERATION: Salary: $3.5 million JMD per annum, payable monthly and related benefits.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for supervising repairs and monitor corrective maintenance on Depot's buses and other vehicles to ensure that operational requirements are met, assist with the troubleshooting and assessment of vehicle malfunctions, and participate in preparation of vehicle maintenance schedule.

• • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• • Strong interpersonal skills.
• • The ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
• • The ability to lead and motivate staff.

Qualifications

• • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
• • Five (5) years working experience in a related position.
