
Senior Investigation Officer
Summary
To perform investigations which result from breaches in Security and related fraud incidents and to safeguard the integrity and reputation of the organization through thorough investigations, and upholding the highest standards of security and trust, protecting the company’s assets and stakeholders from harm.
Responsibilities
- • Plan and undertake investigations into allegations of fraud, security breaches and corruption of varying nature and complexity.
- • Reduce fraud and corruption losses by efficiently and effectively investigating, preventing, detecting, and analyzing, reporting, and recovering losses.
- • Assist in the identification of control weaknesses and recommend solutions and/or controls for future improvements.
- • Assist in the development and delivery of education, training, and awareness activities as part of the fraud prevention, or other security related programmes.
- • Maintain record of each investigation and produce reports.
- • Maintain an up-to-date working knowledge of criminal and civil law legal requirements, criminal investigation procedures, criminal prosecution, and court procedures and disseminate any relevant changes in law or procedures as appropriate.
- • Attend court and give evidence in matters before the court as necessary.
- • Maintain confidentiality and discretion in carrying out all the duties.
- • Liaise and work with external agencies /organizations as necessary in carrying out the duties.
- • Participate in the formulation and implementation of work plans, procedures, and projects to promote a quality service.
- • Maintain accurate statistical and other records as required.
- • Study imminent threats within GK facilities and advise on preventative measures.
- • Conduct background checks on personnel to ensure compliance with company policies.
Required Skills
- • Solid knowledge in the fields of Investigations, Interview & Interrogation, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, Law Enforcement and Emergency Management.
- • Capable of communicating with key stakeholders at all levels.
- • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- • Highly confidential and perceptive
Qualifications
- • Bachelor’s Degree in Security Management, LLB, or Business Administration
- • Three (3) years’ experience as an Investigator within a medium or large organization.
