Responsibilities

  • Adhere to procedural manuals and guidelines when carrying out duties.
  • Observe and ensure compliance with all policies and procedures relating to the credit function.
  • Accept cash and cheques from all customers and drivers on a daily basis.
  • Prepare consolidated lodgments for cash and cheques collected daily during shifts.
  • Audit drivers' temporary receipt books and manifests daily, preparing the requisite reports.
  • Post cash receipt records for cash sales collections.
  • Prepare a Deposit Report on a daily/weekly basis, with one detailed monthly analysis report each month.
  • Apply and clear credit notes deducted by cash customers.
  • Report daily and weekly transaction discrepancies (shortages of cash, non-compliance, etc.) to the senior credit team.
  • Post general journal entries where applicable, such as refunds, rebates, cashiering errors, etc.
  • Assist with updating receipts on customers’ accounts during month-end close-off.
  • Reconcile armored pick-up invoices.
  • Monitor vault logbook operations and report abnormalities promptly.
  • Assist with any other duties in the Credit Department.

Required Skills

  • Excellent Time Management and customer service skills
  • Must be computer literate & proficient in MS Office and/or Google Docs
  • Excellent written and oral communication
  • Detail oriented, pays keen attention to accuracy
  • Ability to work flexible schedules
  • Excellent reconciliation skills
  • Must be able to work in a fast pace environment

Qualifications

  • Associates Degree
  • OR
  • 5 CXCs/Cape subjects including English and Math
  • PLUS
  • Minimum two years working experience in Warehousing or Logistics operations
