Artisans (Electricians) (LMO/TS 4)

Summary

The Western Regional Health Authority (a Statutory Body under the Ministry of Health & Wellness) is currently seeking to employ two (2) Artisans (Electricians) (LMO/TS 4) for the Falmouth Public General Hospital. Salary Range: 💰 $1,711,060 – $2,301,208 JMD per annum.

Responsibilities

Under the direct supervision of the Senior Electrician the incumbents will be expected to:

• • Install electrical fixtures such as junction boxes, wiring, switches and circuit breakers
• • Inspect, investigate, and solve conditions for unusual odours caused by electrical issues
• • Inspect equipment grounding components such as conductors and connections
• • Tighten electrical connections including outlets, breakers and panels
• • Verify grounding of the equipment and associated neutral where applicable
• • Identify and report major electrical problems to the Maintenance Manager in writing
• • Remove and re-install light fixtures, transformers, motor controllers, relays, ballasts and fluorescent fixtures

Required Skills

• • Good oral and written communication skills
• • Ability to use hand and power tools of the trade skillfully and safely
• • Ability to commission/decommission generators and other electrical equipment
• • Must be able to read, interpret and work from sketches, plans and specifications

Qualifications

• • HEART Level 3 Certification in Electrical Maintenance
• • Three (3) years experience working in a similar capacity
