Responsibilities

  • Provide routine user support, problem analysis and resolution, for users in the various software applications.
  • Receive and log requests for support from help desk, other service delivery staff and/or users; investigate problems and other requests for support and determines appropriate actions to take.
  • Participate in developing project deliverables, including translating user requirements to system requirements.
  • Assist in the preparation of testing documentation – test strategy, test plan, test matrix and test scripts.
  • Preparation/conditioning of test environments to facilitate accurate testing scenarios.
  • Execute test scripts and documentat variances identified.
  • Participate in identifying changes to functions through the execution of system integration testing.
  • Participate in Change Management processes through testing activities and user administration.
  • Interact with application vendors to resolve issues.
  • Participate in implementations ensuring environmental readiness by preparing a comprehensive checklist of activities to be performed.
  • Provide monthly performance reports of user application issue submissions and resolution.
  • Conduct application user administration and provide application training.
  • Manage and complete IT Audit requests in a timely manner.

Required Skills

  • Exposure to and/or understanding of the following is a plus:

    • Windows, AIX, and Linux Operating Systems; MS-SQL & Oracle Databases, Oracle Web Logic; Web enabled applications and reporting writing solutions
  • Knowledge and/or experience in back office procedures specifically, accounting and settlements.
  • Familiarity and/or experience in functioning in a Projectized work environment and with the phases of the Systems Development Lifecycle.
  • Must be a strong communicator, including oral, written
  • Good presentation skills including; facilitation and negotiation with internal and external partners and clients
  • Exceptional customer service, time management, collaboration and well developed interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Technology/Computer Science/Business Administration
  • Minimum of 3 years’ progressive experience in the financial sector or in a similar support role in another industry
  • Experienced in writing SQL queries to interrogate large volumes of transaction data
  • Strong understanding of systems and applications architecture, as well as specialized computerized system relevant to the financial sector.
  • Experience working in the Windows environment and Microsoft Office products.
