Summary

Under the Chief Accountant, the individual will be expected to manage the accounting functions assigned. He/she will be expected to apply all the relevant policies and procedures to carry out the required functions, whilst working alongside with team members to accomplish objectives.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile claims submitted from collection centers.
• Investigate discrepancies in claims remittance reports to ensure accuracy.
• Provide claims reconciliation report monthly for all outstations assigned.
• Assist in the billing and accounts receivable process.
• Prepare and maintain a monthly general ledger schedule.

Required Skills

• Knowledge of accounting principles.
• Exceptional data entry speed and accuracy.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a high-volume environment.
• Knowledge of computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel or their equivalent.

Qualifications

• At least five (5) passes in CXC/GCE, which should include Mathematics, English and Accounts.
• ACCA Level II or BSc in Accounting or Management Studies.
• At lears one (1) year experience in an Accounting Environment.
• Working knowledge of relevant accounting packages, such as Microsoft GP.
