The Van Assistant is responsible for supporting the delivery team in ensuring that products are loaded, unloaded, and delivered efficiently and safely to customers. This role involves assisting the driver in navigating deliveries, maintaining inventory records, and ensuring the proper handling of goods.

Responsibilities

• • Assist the driver in loading and unloading products from the van.
• • Help verify that the correct products and quantities are loaded for delivery.
• • Ensure that all products are handled with care and comply with safety standards during transport.
• • Maintain accurate records of deliveries and inventory levels.
• • Assist in preparing delivery documentation and receipts.
• • Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery times and product information.
• • Perform routine checks on the delivery vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
• • Assist in keeping the delivery area and vehicle clean and organized.
• • Request merchandise from the storeroom as needed during deliveries.
• • Support the driver in other tasks as assigned, while adhering to company policies and safety protocols.

Required Skills

• • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
• • Must be physically fit to handle the lifting of products.
• • Valid driver's license is a plus.

Qualifications

• • Secondary level education (CXC subjects preferred).
• • Previous experience in a similar role is an asset.
