Security Operations Centre Operator

Summary

Responsibility to proactively monitor, analyze and respond to incidents and activities using various security systems. The role is integral to the Terminal's safety and security infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• • Monitor and analyze inputs from the CCTV system, perimeter intrusion detection systems, fire detection, access control, and weather station
• • Maintain situational awareness and providing live updates to on-ground patrol teams
• • Assist in locating missing containers or cargo and support active investigations.
• • Provide prompt support during emergency responses, ensuring coordinated communication and response.
• • Report unusual or suspicious activity, breaches, or technical issues in real-time
• • Maintain system logs, generate shift reports, and ensure continuity between shift changes
• • Work collaboratively with other SOC Operators and external agencies when required
• • Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), compliance protocols, and confidentiality standards

Required Skills

• • Strong aptitude in computer systems, monitoring tools, and digital communication platforms
• • Previous experience in security, surveillance, military, or emergency response will be an asset
• • Familiarity with ports or logistics operations is desirable but not required.
• • Ability to multi-task and remain focused under pressure in a high-stakes environment
• • High integrity, alertness, and attention to detail, strong situational judgment and critical thinking, confidentiality

Qualifications

• • Minimum of five (5) CXC/GCE subjects including English and Mathematics.
• • Excellent communication and reporting skills, ability to work well in rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
