Summary

To develop, implement and oversee the administration of employee benefits insurance and risk management solutions on behalf of clients and to generate new business growth and renewals of existing portfolios through advisory skills, market knowledge and auxiliary services to the client’s satisfaction and within the company’s guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • • Oversee the efficient management of the account portfolio of our low to medium value clients.
  • • Employ business development strategies to ensure that new business and renewal targets are met.
  • • Engage with customers to get an in-depth understanding of their insurance needs and provide professional advice accordingly.
  • • Anticipate circumstances and their impact and initiate advice on such matters pertinent to proper protection of the assets and liabilities while keeping clients fully informed on product/market changes which affect their portfolio.
  • • Identify suitable markets and discuss with clients for implementation
  • • Identify gaps in cover and up-sell/cross-sell to clients
  • • Maintenance of client data in the manner directed to facilitate easy access to information.
  • Performance Criteria:

    • • New business strategies are implemented to generate 100% success rate
    • • Retention targets of 95% are attained
    • • Clients are made aware of the policy expiration six weeks in advance. Renewal terms and alternatives are communicated and discussed
    • • Policies are implemented and or renewed as instructed avoiding lapse in cover
    • • Invoices are issued as per service standards to ensure prompt collection of premiums

Qualifications

  • • Diploma in insurance Studies or pursuing insurance certification
  • • At least three (3) years experience in the general insurance industry.
  • • Registered salesman in OLT, Sickness and Health and Personal Accident.
  • • Must possess a valid drivers license.
