Inventory Clerk

Summary

The Inventory Clerk is expected to perform storekeeping duties by participating in the receipt, storage, requisitioning and disbursement of supplies and materials.

Responsibilities

• • Prepare purchase orders.
• • Receive stocks/shipment, verifying against purchase orders for accuracy. Kn
• • Enter stocks/ shipment received into inventory and continually monitor inventory stock for re-order etc.
• • Count, sort and examine stock.
• • Store supplies on shelves or in fridge.
• • Keep record of incoming and outgoing stock.
• • Timely and efficiently process and fill requisition presented by in house departments and collection centres.
• • Maintain proper stock level.

Required Skills

• • Knowledge of inventory and control procedures.
• • Ability to shelve, store and distribute stock.
• • Ability to communicate effectively with others.

Qualifications

• • A high school diploma (with at least five (5) CXC or GCE at ordinary level), including Math & English.
• • Two (2) years experience in an Accounting environment.

• Working Conditions:

  • • The inventory clerk may have to do some lifting of supplies occasionally. With the demands of the position, the incumbent may encounter some amount of stress. He/she may be required to work longer hours than are stipulated to complete tasks from time to time.
