Shipper (Consumer Warehouse)

Summary

This role plays a crucial part in ensuring our outbound operations run efficiently and in line with our 24–48 hour delivery commitment.

Responsibilities

• • Coordinate and execute the timely loading of orders in accordance with assigned delivery territories.
• • Verify that all dispatched goods are accompanied by proper documentation, and that orders are visibly checked off against invoices.
• • Ensure no truck is dispatched without Supervisor or Manager authorization.
• • Monitor the trucker log and manage loading queues fairly and efficiently.
• • Oversee the deportment of delivery contractors, ensuring compliance with dress and conduct standards before loading.
• • Identify and report picking, verifying, and collation errors, as well as product discrepancies or damages during loading.
• • Ensure excess stock is staged in designated areas and all errors are logged.
• • Coordinate pick up of unsaleable goods from the trade.
• • Attend stock counts, mandatory training, and other activities as assigned.
• • Maintain professional behaviour in the warehouse at all times.

Qualifications

• • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a warehouse or distribution environment
• • Tertiary Diploma and 5 CSEC/GCE subjects
• • Knowledge of Jamaican geography is a plus
• • Proficiency in warehouse systems (WMS) and understanding of inventory/dispatch procedures
