
Internal Auditor (FMG/AS 3)
Summary
Under the general direction of the Board of Directors, the Internal Auditor is responsible for examining transactions, records, and documents (both financial and operational) to determine compliance with the provisions of relevant laws, regulations, policies, and rules governing the Trade Board Limited. The incumbent will also report on internal controls to the Trade Administrator/CEO and, where necessary, make recommendations. 💰Salary: $5,198,035 - $6,990,779 JMD per annum
Qualifications
- • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
- • ACCA Fundamentals or equivalent.
- • 3-4 years' experience in auditing.
- • Knowledge of public sector auditing and internal controls.
- • Familiarity with ISO 9001|2015 and relevant Government of Jamaica (GOJ) regulations is an asset.

The Internal Auditor is responsible for conducting assigned audits within the Ministry of Finance and the Public Service (MOFPS), as well as its Agencies and Departments. The incumbent reviews financial records and complies with all regulatory requirements such as the Financial Administration & Audit (F.A.A.) Act, the Public Bodies Management Accountability Act as well as The Government of Jamaica (GOJ) Procurement Guidelines. He/ she conduct reviews across the audit universe, identifies any key risk areas, reports on findings and makes recommendations to management. The incumbent ensures high quality provision of assurance on the systems of internal control and on the efficiency and effectiveness of its resources. 💰Salary Range: $4,266,270 to $5,737,658 per annum and any allowance(s) attached to the post.
