Project Manager

Summary

The Project Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of a project to ensure it is completed on time, within budget, and according to specifications. This role involves coordinating various stakeholders, including quantity surveyors, government agencies, contractors, engineers, and architects, from project initiation through to completion. The Coordinator serves as a central point of contact for teams working on the same project, ensuring cohesive action and alignment with project goals. Regular communication with executives and the board is required to provide updates on progress and address any obstacles.

Responsibilities

Some of the core duties include:

• • The coordination guides all elements of a project, with the intent of timely completion, within budget and allotted time.
• • This mainly applies to physical, such as construction, remodeling or repurposing of buildings or other production facilities.
• • Coordination between the different parties of interest such as QS, government agencies, contractors, engineers and architects etc. from drawing board up to completion.
• • Serving as a point of contact for teams when multiple units are assigned to the same project to ensure team actions remain in synergy.
• • Communicating with executives or the board to keep the project aligned with their goals.
• • Provide regular updates on the progress of projects, and the obstacles preventing desired conclusions.

Qualifications

• • Minimum first degree in Project Management, or a first degree in a related field with proven experience in Project Management.
• • General Driver's license.
• • Experience or competencies in structural engineering is considered a positive trait.
• • Experience in the field of project management.
• • Leadership qualities.
• • Excellent communication skills.
• • Excellent technical / construction knowledge.
