Sales Associate (Sovereign)

Summary

Responsible for assisting in the day-to-day running of the company; greeting customers, locating products, price-checking items, and organizing store shelves and displays.

Responsibilities

The following are specific responsibilities and contributions critical to the successful performance of the position:

• • Greet customers entering the store.
• • Ensure the store is neat, clean and organized throughout each business day.
• • Provide product knowledge to customers through the features, values and benefits of each product.
• • Maintain sales records for inventory control
• • Ensure products are located in correct isle.
• • Ensure shelves are packed neatly
• • Check for expiry date on goods and ensure they are priced correctly.
• • Assist customers in finding goods.
• • Introduce new goods and services to customers.
• • Assist in stock taking
• • Assist in every department when possible
• • Ensure that items purchased are in good condition before it leaves the store.
• • Assist in transporting goods from warehouse to the floor
• • Ensure shelves are wiped and restocked.
• • Inform customers of upcoming sales.
• • Assist customers in bringing goods to their vehicles if necessary.

Qualifications

• • High School Diploma / School Leaving Certificate
• • At least 5 CXC’s inclusive of Mathematics and English Language.
• • Must have at least One (1) year experience in sales in a retail environment.
• • Trained and Certified in sales
