Industrial Nurse

Summary

Applications are invited for the position of Industrial Nurse to efficiently manage the Health Centre to assist in minimizing occupational health problems, safety hazards and promoting wellness

Responsibilities

• • Provide general nursing treatment of company employees, contractors and their workers for injuries and illnesses. To refer such persons to a Medical Officer/Practitioner as necessary and co-ordinate the visits to the Specialist.
• • Provide follow-up care of accident cases and other illnesses.
• • Provide Occupational Safety & Health Officer with daily and weekly Accident and Treatment reports; and advising of any recurrent problems gleaned from the data.

Required Skills

• • Counseling and training skills;
• • Competence in Microsoft Office Suite;
• • Experience in a manufacturing environment would be an asset;

Qualifications

• • Advanced nursing education from a recognized tertiary institution;
• • Critical Care Registered Nurse, would be a distinct advantage;
• • Certified in Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support;
• • At least five (5) years’ experience as a Registered Nurse, with experience in emergency care in a hospital setting;
• • A reliable motor vehicle.
