Security and Compliance Coordinator

Summary

The Security and Compliance Coordinator is responsible for the safety and security of CB Group assets and employees.

Responsibilities

• • Under the supervision of the Security and Compliance Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for the safety and security of CB Group assets and staff.
• • Maintain daily security log of all security related activities.
• • Implement security/safety procedures for minimizing the loss of raw materials/finished products, money or company assets.
• • Formulate plans regarding visitors and employee safety, emergency procedures and handling difficult visitors or employees.
• • Respond to all safety concerns from company personnel.
• • Conduct investigations into alleged pilferage of company products
• • Test alarm systems and monitor video surveillance
• • Establish and maintain an effective means of communication and working rapport with staff/management of other departments.
• • Ensure that all security staff is properly trained in emergency procedures and maintain an on-going training/retraining program, to ensure that all security personnel are always familiar with the procedures.
• • Have an ‘oversight ‘on other departments (where applicable) with a view to ensure that they are compliant in their daily task.
• • Maintain control of department keys to ensure that only the authorized personnel have access to critical areas/operations.
• • Coordinate investigations of all acts of crime, or any losses incurred against by visitors, staff, and the company to determine those responsible and proceed with any necessary prosecution/recovery of losses.
• • Maintain policy for spot checks of employees when entering and exiting C. B’s compounds to ensure that only the employee’s personal items leave the compound
• • Assist the safety monitors in establishing and maintaining procedures to ensure that specific actions will take place in the event of an emergency.
• • Provide support where necessary from a vehicle tracking perspective.

• • Ability to communicating effectively, both verbally and in writing
• • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral or diagrammatic form
• • Ability to analyze and interpret data, discover facts and develop knowledge from available statistics
• • Ability to handle crisis
• • Computer literate

Qualifications

• • Associate Degree in Security Management
• • At least three years’ experience as a Security Supervisor
• • At least five years’ experience in the Security field
• • Must possess a valid General Driver’s License with a minimum of 3200kg.
