Solutions Engineer

Summary

Play a crucial role in designing, developing, and implementing comprehensive technology solutions to meet the specific needs of users. Work closely with users, stakeholders and technical teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable, efficient, and robust architecture designs.

Responsibilities

• • Collaborate with users and stakeholders to understand their business objectives, functional requirements, and technical needs.
• • Develop end-to-end architecture designs that align with business goals, industry best practices, and technical standards.
• • Identifying potential risks and dependencies associated with architecture designs.
• • Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• • Research and evaluate new technologies, tools, and frameworks to identify opportunities for innovation and optimization.
• • Recommend technology solutions that address business challenges and align with strategic objectives.
• • Collaborate with development teams to oversee the implementation of architecture designs.
• • Engage with clients to present and discuss architecture designs, proposals, and technical recommendations.
• • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation including architecture diagrams, design specifications, and technical documentation.
• • Maintain regulatory compliance in daily activities by strictly adhering to data privacy regulations/acts and relevant cybersecurity policies, and defined standards, guidelines, and procedures to avoid non-compliance and associated risks.
• • Perform other job-related duties assigned from time to time.

Required Skills

• • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
• • Relevant certification (e.g. AWS Certified Solutions Architect, MuleSoft Integration Architect, TOGAF) would be an asset.
• • Strong understanding of software development methodologies, architecture patterns and design principles.
• • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• • Knowledge of Java would be an asset.
• • Strong knowledge of the insurance or financial services industry would be an asset.
• • Proficiency in cloud computing platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, MuleSoft) and associated services would be an asset.
• • Sound knowledge of computer software packages such as word processing and spreadsheet applications.

Qualifications

• • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field from a recognized tertiary institution.
• • Minimum of five (5) years working experience, designing, documenting and architecting technical solutions.
• • Minimum of one (1) year working experience in the financial sector would be an asset.
• • Proven experience in software development, system design, or technical architecture.
