Group Security Operations Officer
Summary
Have responsibility for overseeing the security operations across branches and departments within our organization. Work closely with Group Security Supervisors and other departments to ensure the safety and security of personnel, assets, and premises. Maintain and implement security protocols, supervise security team and respond to any incidents or emergencies that may arise.
Responsibilities
Assist in the coordination and collaboration of security services, including surveillance systems, access control, and physical security.:
- • Follow through with the engaging of service providers to resolve issues at the locations.
- • Participate in emergency preparedness drills and develop contingency plans for various scenarios.
- • Maintain accurate records of security incidents, investigations, and reporting, and ensure proper documentation.
- • Prepare security reports as needed for security management, highlighting any areas of concern or improvement.
- • Recommend improvements to infrastructure or technology to enhance security.
- • Maintain maintenance schedule and servicing records for site inspections at branch locations.
- • Perform other related duties assigned from time to time.
Required Skills
- • Ability to communicate effectively.
- • Strong understanding of security systems, surveillance equipment, and safety protocols.
- • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to respond effectively in high-pressure situations.
- • Proficiency in computer software packages such as word processing and spreadsheet applications.
- • Excellent security operational skills.
- • Strong analytical, decision making & problem-solving skills.
- • Strong understanding of security protocols, risk management, and emergency response.
- • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required
Qualifications
- • Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, or related discipline from a recognized tertiary institution.
- • Experience working in multi-site or security operational roles.
- • Training in conflict resolution, emergency response, or related areas.
- • Familiarity with access systems.
- • Certificate in supervisory management.
- • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
