Summary

Our Summer Mentorship Programme offers aspiring young professionals currently enrolled in 6th form or a tertiary-level institution the opportunity to gain valuable work experience in a corporate environment. The programme is designed to provide hands-on exposure, professional development, and mentorship to help students build the skills needed for their future careers.

Responsibilities

As a Summer Intern, you will:

  • ā€¢ Gain experience in a corporate setting through mentorship across the various areas in which Sagicor operates, such as Insurance, Banking, Investments, Employee Benefits, and Real Estate.
  • ā€¢ Perform duties as assigned by your supervisor to support team goals and objectives.
  • ā€¢ Contribute to an exceptional client experience through professional and attentive service.
  • ā€¢ Carry out other related tasks as assigned from time to time.

Required Skills

  • ā€¢ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • ā€¢ Excellent communication skills.
  • ā€¢ A high level of confidentiality and strong organizational abilities.
  • ā€¢ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • ā€¢ General knowledge of Sagicor Group Jamaica and its subsidiaries is an asset.

Qualifications

  • ā€¢ A diploma with a minimum of five (5) CSEC or GCE O ā€˜Level subjects, including English Language and a numeric subject.
  • ā€¢ Current enrolment in an Associateā€™s Degree (CAPE or A-levels) or a Bachelorā€™s Degree at a recognized tertiary institution.
