Plant Manager
Summary
The Senior Manager for Poultry Processing, Floor Operations drives the efficient operation of the flagship plant. This includes evaluating the poultry processing operation and obtaining the human resources needed. The Senior Manager would drive engagement among all levels of the poultry processing team while ensuring that the output is certified quality standard, and the business is run profitably.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- • Managing and providing day-to-day leadership of the Floor Operations (First and Second Processing) of the Poultry Processing Plant.
- • Providing strategic advice and recommendation to the Head of Poultry Processing in the development, implementation, and evaluation of new or modified operating policies, practices, and procedures for the First and Second Poultry Processing Stages
- • Undertaking the development, implementation, monitoring and reporting of the Floor Operations Plan to meet the strategic goals and interests of the flagship Plant.
- • Providing leadership development support to the direct reports who oversee the First and Second Poultry Processing Stages
- • Clearly communicating the priorities and goals to direct reports on the processing floor operations for enhanced clarity and direction.
- • Participating in the recruitment and retention of team members as needed
- • Guiding the talent identification and development processes for team members as needed.
- • Collaborating with other departments to design and implement training programmes for team members in First and Second Processing; regarding the nature and application of policies and procedures.
- • Overseeing performance of direct reports in Floor Operation of the Poultry Processing Plant and complete performance reviews accordingly.
- • Employing effective strategies for implementation of operation procedures according to the guiding principles of the Company and the QMS System.
- • Keeping abreast of trends aligned with our operations and participate in decision making process; for improvement in quality, efficiency, productivity safety and general progress of the company and its employees
- • Ensuring compliance to all state regulations
- • Ensuring that the CB Group policy, objectives, and vision are communicated to staff
- • Ensuring the safety of staff and assets
- • Assessing all systems and processes continuously and bridging gaps accordingly
- • Analyzing, designing, documenting, and implementing internal reporting systems and procedures for the Floor Operation of the Poultry Processing Plant as applicable to the specified area.
- • Participate in the financial review, planning and forecasting of expenses for the floor operation of the poultry processing area.
- • Managing the financial budget aligned with function.
- • All other duties assigned.

- • Proven work experience as Operations Manager in Poultry Processing or similar role

- • Demonstrated leadership skills
- • Degree in Business, Operations Management or related field
