Automotive Mechanic (SOG/ST 4)

Summary

The North East Regional Health Authority, a statutory body under the Ministry of Health and Wellness with responsibility for the management and delivery of public health services within the parishes of St. Ann, St. Mary and Portland, is seeking a dynamic, proactive and experienced individual to fill the position of Automotive Mechanic at the Regional Health Facilities & Maintenance Unit. Under the general direction of the Regional Maintenance Manager, in collaboration with the Regional Fleet Coordinator, the incumbent is responsible for inspection, trouble shooting, servicing, repair, test driving of all motor vehicles. 💰$2,803,771 – $3,770,761 per annum

Responsibilities

• • Diagnoses, repairs and overhauls engines, transmissions, components, electrical and fuel systems, on motor vehicles registered in the fleet.
• • Performing tune ups, brake jobs and other preventative maintenance.
• • Maintaining inventory of tools, spare parts and lubricants.
• • Responding to emergencies and provide assistance as needed after normal working hours, weekend and public holidays.

Required Skills

Qualifications

• • Diploma in motor Vehicle / Automotive repairs
• • Minimum of one (1) year experience in motor vehicle repairs, service and operations
