Branch Manager
Summary
The Branch Manager will be primarily responsible for leading the business development and service activities of the branch to ensure achievement of financial objectives.
Responsibilities
Relationship Building:
- • Ensure that the bank’s service standards are consistently met.
- • Visit potential and existing clients on a regular and consistent basis.
- • Document and follow-up on opportunities unearthed from visiting with clients.
- • Consistently maintain contact with current and potential clients socially and otherwise.
- • Develop and implement customer relationship strategies and tactics across the bank/ GraceKennedy group.
Visioning and Identifying Business opportunities:
- • Engage in networking activities to identify new and viable business opportunities on an ongoing basis
- • Initiate cross selling opportunities with existing clients and those clients within the Group.
- • Assess FGB strategic position in the market for future growth and development.
Staff Performance & Development:
- • Manage, develop and guide in-branch sales team.
- • Monitor staff performance focusing on the objectives and targets that need to be met.
- • Act as mentor and coach for staff in general.
- • Ensure a high level of professional and ethical standard is maintained among staff at all times
- • Ensure staff members are motivated and a high level of team spirit is maintained.
- • Create and retain a high performing, engaged and well trained team
Commercial Business:
- • Initiate cross selling opportunities with existing clients also with clients within the GraceKennedy Group.
Required Skills
- • Excellent problem solving skills
- • Sound knowledge of credit and risk management
- • Excellent relationship management skills with ability to implement strategic sales plans
- • Experience in serving customers, strong sales orientation and sound judgement
- • Sound knowledge of banking operations and thorough knowledge of governing Laws, Rules and Regulations
- • Proven track record of success in sales
- • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- • Strategic thinking with excellent leadership skills
- • Demonstrated ability to coach and motivate
- • Well-developed sales and networking skills
Qualifications
- • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Banking & Finance, Business Administration, Management Studies or related field
- • A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in commercial banking at the management level.
