Director Business Operations

Summary

The Bank is seeking an astute and experienced credit and project management professional, preferably with knowledge in the area of construction credit, to direct the administration of the Bank's credit operations, to provide mortgage financing for housing development projects.

Responsibilities

• • Maintain a product portfolio that engenders sustained growth and profitability.
• • Collaborate with key stakeholders in the mortgage and finance market and lead the growth strategy of the Primary Mortgage Market.
• • Lead a Technical team in the monitoring of the projects funded by the Bank.
• • Work with the team to grow the organization's loan and Mortgage Insurance (MI) portfolios.
• • As a member of the Senior Management Team participate in the development of the Bank's strategic objectives.
• • Take responsibility for the quality, compliance and successful performance of the Bank's project financing and Secondary Mortgage (SM) portfolios as well as the MI Fund.
• • Assess loan applications to determine their viability and ensure effective monitoring of construction projects while maintaining excellent service delivery.
• • Consistently monitor the mortgage insurance and capital instruments portfolios to identify possible risks and initiate necessary corrective measures.

Qualifications

• The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Accounting, Business Administration or a Masters in a related discipline:

  • • At least eight (8) years post qualification experience with at least five (5) years at the Senior Management level in loans/mortgage management.
  • • Sound knowledge of credit/risk analysis, preferably in construction credit financing, relevant legislation and regulations.
  • • Solid project management expertise.
  • • Exposure to international secondary mortgage markets, the pricing of financial instruments and forecasting techniques would be an asset.
  • • Interpersonal skills to negotiate and work effectively with stakeholders, understand individual requirements and respond appropriately while achieving the Bank's objectives.
