
Brand Manager (Fish & Meats)
Summary
Reporting to the Senior Brand Manager (Fish & Meats), the incumbent will be responsible for developing, implementing, monitoring, and driving marketing strategies within an agreed budget for the Fish & Meats Portfolio. The Brand Manager (Fish & Meats) will take responsibility for developing plans and executing projects and initiatives within the agreed budget that supports the broader short and long-term marketing strategy for the assigned portfolio of products. Collaborates with other departments to ensure the assigned portfolio of product remains relevant to consumers and that all initiatives support the brand promise.
Responsibilities
- • Lead the preparation of demand/sales projections and proposed marketing strategies for the achievement of sales targets to maintain/increase market share
- • Partner with the Sales Team to garner market intelligence on key products to drive strategy, timeliness of plans and responsiveness to trends
- • To research and monitor product life cycles and consumer trends to inform long-term strategy
- • Develop long-term strategic product development plans to extend the life cycle of products and achieve long-term growth of categories
- • Prepare marketing and distribution plans for specific products, in collaboration with the Sales Units, to drive the achievement of sales/market share targets
- • Provide input in new product launches by working in conjunction with the New Product Development Team
- • Supervise direct reports and guide them to achieve stated objectives
Required Skills
- • Experience in a Food Service/Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG)/retail or grocery distribution environment.
Communication:
- • ability to listen effectively and communicate effectively orally or in writing to customers and suppliers.
Organizational Ability:
- • manages and organises tasks in a cost-effective manner.
Teamwork:
- • The level and extent of contribution to ensure that departmental objectives are met through team effort.
- • Computer Literate (Advanced Excel, and SAP would be assets)
Qualifications
- • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related discipline.
- • Minimum 3 years experience in Marketing or Sales.
- • Valid driver’s licence
