Fusion CX seeks experienced and qualified individuals for the IT Helpdesk Professional/System Admin position in Kingston, Jamaica. In this IT support role, you will oversee operations and provide technical support to manage Fusion CX’s infrastructural assets, including desktops, laptops, local systems (CCTV, access control, UPS), and telecom services. You will ensure these systems are maintained in accordance with compliance regulations, policies, and procedures, contributing to the continuous improvement of Fusion CX’s infrastructure to meet the changing needs of a growing business.
Responsibilities
- • Recommend and implement technologies that improve efficiency or reduce costs in the workplace.
- • Update existing software to ensure compatibility with new computer systems.
- • Maintain equipment such as desktops and laptops by installing new software or replacing broken parts.
- • Collaborate with other IT team members to develop and implement new solutions for existing problems.
- • Identify and address system performance issues by troubleshooting problems and adjusting existing hardware configurations or software settings.
- • Evaluate new technologies and equipment to determine their fit for the company’s needs as an IT Helpdesk professional.
- • Monitor the performance of computer networks, including the speed and availability of network connections, to ensure proper functioning.
- • Coordinate with other team members to ensure efficient operation of technology within the company.
- • Ensure that security measures are in place, including encryption of data files and firewalls on all devices.
- • Provide local IT operations support to end users for their queries and problems.
- • Manage technology components like desktops, laptops, CCTV, access control systems, UPS, and power requirements for local support.
- • Demonstrate a good understanding and hands-on experience with Windows 10/11, WSUS patch management, and antivirus technologies.
- • Manage local asset and software inventory as an IT Helpdesk professional/ system Admin in Kingston.
- • Coordinate with local service vendors to resolve problems and fulfill new IT needs.
- • Track and resolve day-to-day IT incidents following a ticketing system.
- • Manage IT compliance needs and support audits by coordinating with the central security team.
