Summary

As a Public Area Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring a pleasant and comfortable stay for our hotel and resort patrons. You will accomplish this by registering and assigning rooms, issuing room keys or cards, transmitting and receiving messages, maintaining accurate records of occupied rooms and guests' accounts, and making and confirming reservations. You will also be responsible for presenting statements to departing guests.

Responsibilities

  • • Greet guests upon arrival and provide a warm welcome.
  • • Register and assign rooms to guests, ensuring their preferences and special requests are accommodated.
  • • Issue room keys or cards and provide guests with relevant information regarding the facility.
  • • Transmit and receive messages for guests using various communication channels.
  • • Maintain accurate records of occupied rooms and guests’ accounts.
  • • Make and confirm reservations for guests, both over the phone and in-person.
  • • Present statements to departing guests and process their payments in an efficient and timely manner.
  • • Handle any guest inquiries, complaints, or requests promptly and professionally, ensuring their satisfaction.
  • • Liaise with other departments to ensure smooth guest experiences, such as coordinating with housekeeping for room preparation.
  • • Complete additional tasks or responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Education:

    • • High School Degree or equivalent is preferred.
    • • Combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Certifications:

    • • Certifications may be required or preferred.
  • Work Experience:

    • • Requires knowledge and skills gained through formal training or considerable work experience
    • • Works within established procedures with a moderate degree of supervision
    • • Has 2 to 3 years of work experience
