Summary

Maritime and Transport Services is seeking an experienced Brokerage Manager to lead its Customs Brokerage Department. The successful candidate will oversee import and export operations, ensure full compliance with Jamaica Customs Agency (JCA) regulations, and deliver high-quality service to clients. This role involves managing teams across Kingston and Montego Bay, streamlining clearance processes, and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day brokerage operations and ensure compliance with JCA regulations
• Oversee customs declarations, tariff classification, and ASYCUDA processing
• Lead and supervise import/export staff and maintain high-performance standards
• Liaise with clients, JCA, and regulatory bodies to resolve issues and ensure timely cargo clearance
• Monitor costs, invoice processing, and operational performance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field
• 10+ years of experience in customs brokerage, logistics, or shipping
• 5-7 years in a management role
• Proficiency in ASYCUDA and strong knowledge of the Jamaica Customs Act
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Certification in Customs Brokerage or Freight Forwarding is an asset
