Summary

The Corporate Sales Wine Specialist (CSWS) is responsible for the category management of wine sales to the company’s large volume multi-national corporate customers, hybrid and other on trade accounts. The Corporate Sales Wine Specialist is also responsible for sourcing new business and developing sales strategies to increase wine sales and grow the wine category customer base. The CSWS will act as the key contact between CPJ’s wine portfolio and our customers, collaborating with our marketing team for customer presentations and mitigating all service-related issues to ensure a best-in-class experience. You will analyze market trends and recommend changes to marketing and business development strategies based on analysis and feedback. You will also be responsible for recommending additions and/ or omissions to CPJ’s wine portfolio based on this feedback and analysis. You will act as the face of the Company in all aspects of wine sales, representing the brand of the Company, as the leader in food service in Jamaica and the region.

Responsibilities

  • • Coordinate with vendors as well as CPJ’s Marketing Team to ensure vendor communications and marketing activations are timely and well executed
  • • Coordinate with vendors as well as CPJ’s sales
  • • and purchasing teams to ensure adequate forecasting for product lines
  • • Addressing and remedying of any fulfillment concerns
  • • Actively communicating to customer,
  • • remedies and alternative items for substitution
  • • Communicate new offerings, product changes or pricing
  • • updates to customers
  • • Weekly margin review ensuring maximum profitability for the Company
  • • Weekly fulfillment expectation review and liaising with Supply Chain
  • • Regular face-to-face visitations to customer, weekly or bi-weekly when appropriate, including trainings and tastings on wine product lines
  • • Garner market and category insight and knowledge via designated programmes, supplier visits and B2B trade shows.
  • • Coordinate experiences to showcase product portfolio to new and existing customers and consumers.
  • • Interact with consumers in customer accounts to educate and motivate wine sales weekly. Customer accounts may differ weekly.
  • • Service area includes the North Coast with support being lent to Kingston where needed.
  • • Submission and review of monthly fulfillment report
  • • Submission and review of monthly sales performance report
  • • Bid cycle preparation for wines, including preparation of bid worksheet
  • • and reviewing of bid quotes with Division Director
  • • Bid compliance for wines, including weekly review of corporate account usages
  • Accounts that straddle On & Off Trade, e.g. Jamaica Liquor Warehouse:

    • • Follow up with assigned sales representative towards remedy of any fulfillment concerns
    • • Liaising with sales representatives to explore remedies and alternative items
    • • Sharing of information on new offerings, product changes or price changes with sales representative and customer
    • • Weekly margin review ensuring maximum profitability for the Company
    • • Submitting and review of monthly sales performance report
    • • Bid preparation, including preparation of bid worksheet and reviewing of bid quotes with Division Director
    • • Bid compliance, including weekly review of corporate account usages
