Summary
The Incumbent is responsible for coordinating import and export shipments to include but not limited to, preparation of Customs declarations, booking of shipments, liaising with warehouses, custom brokers, shipping agents and haulage contractors regarding shipments. Responsibilities also include inventory monitoring and monitoring of export shipments to ensure on time delivery in accordance with the Companyβs procedures. β³ Application Tip: Some jobs posted by Cari-Med Group Ltd may display deadlines that have already passed on the application page. Required Knowledge, Skills and Competencies
- β’ Be results oriented with a high level of initiative
- β’ Ability to multitask with a high level of accuracy
- β’ Possess good planning, organizing and problem-solving skills with the aptitude for numbers.
- β’ Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- β’ Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment and demonstrates self-motivation in managing workload.
- β’ Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 suite with at least intermediate level in Excel.
- β’ Sound knowledge of local and regional Import/Export regulations, as well as, purchasing practices and procedures
Preferred Qualifications
- β A Bachelorβs degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management or Business Administration with specialization in areas of Operations Management, Logistics, and Procurement from an accredited institution.
- β Minimum of 2 years practical experience with processing export shipments
- β Experience using the Customs ASYCUDA system
- β CPSM certification or its equivalent would be a valuable asset.
