
Quantity Surveyor (Level 7)
Summary
The National Works Agency, an Executive Agency of the Government of Jamaica, is seeking suitably qualified individuals for the under-mentioned position. Quantity Surveyor (Level 7) 💰Salary:$5,198,035 JMD per annum
Responsibilities
- • Provide efficient preliminary estimates for all building and civil engineering projects based on information provided by architects and civil engineers.
- • Interpret blueprints, schematic drawings, sketch plans, layouts and other visual aids to facilitate accurate cost estimation.
- • Prepare detailed bills of quantities and contract documents for work to be implemented by the Agency.
- • Evaluate and provide technical report on cost breakdowns submitted by contractors for significant variances in rates and prices in tenders, and where appropriate assist in negotiation process as needed.
- • Carry out measurement and valuation of works completed and prepare interim and final payment certificates for projects.

Qualifications
