Summary
The Returns Clerk is responsible for managing and processing returned goods from customers, ensuring that returns are documented accurately and efficiently, and that all products are handled in accordance with company policies. This role is crucial in maintaining inventory integrity and providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities
- • Receive and inspect returned merchandise to determine the reason for return, ensuring the accuracy and quality of the products.
- • Document all returns in the inventory management system, updating records to reflect current stock levels and return status.
- • Coordinate with the warehouse team to ensure that returned items are processed and restocked appropriately.
- • Communicate with customers regarding the status of their returns and any necessary follow-up actions, ensuring a high level of customer service.
- • Work closely with the Sales and Customer Service teams to resolve any issues related to returned products, including exchanges or refunds.
- • Maintain accurate records of returned goods and generate reports as needed to track return trends and inventory levels.
- • Assist in identifying and mitigating any recurring issues that may contribute to returns, collaborating with relevant teams to enhance product quality and customer satisfaction.
- • Ensure compliance with company policies regarding the handling of returns and inventory management.
- • Participate in regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and proper documentation of returned products.
- • Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall operations of the warehouse and returns department.
Required Skills
- • Proficiency in using inventory management software and basic computer applications (MS Office).
- • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping.
- • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with customers and team members.
- • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- • Problem-solving skills and the capacity to handle customer inquiries with professionalism and empathy.
Qualifications
- • High School Diploma or equivalent is required; additional education in logistics or supply chain management is a plus.
- • Previous experience in returns processing, inventory management, or a related field is preferred.
