Reconciliation Officer

Summary

Reporting to the Reconciliation Supervisor, the incumbent will be responsible for the timely preparation of Intercompany, Supplier, and Bank Reconciliation Statements.

Responsibilities

• • Preparation of inter-company, bank, suppliers, and credit card reconciliation statements.
• • Preparation of inventory reconciliation statements
• • Follow up on long-standing reconciling items on the reconciliations in an effort to clear them within three months.
• • Posting of journal entries, as applicable, for reconciliations prepared
• • Posting of Credit Notes and invoice adjustments for assigned suppliers

Required Skills

• • Strong numeric, analytical, and spreadsheet skills
• • Excellent problem-solving, coordination, and organisational skills
• • Ability to work under pressure and in a team-oriented environment
• • Excellent communication, listening, verbal, and written presentation skills
• • Ability to work with minimal supervision and a high degree of accountability
• • Proficiency in Microsoft applications, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• • Knowledge of the use of SAP is an asset.
• • Excellent customer service skills
• • Pays keen attention to details

Qualifications

• • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Management Studies
• • Two (2) years of working experience in a similar position
