SMAT Coordinator
Summary
To provide support to the Marketing and Commercial departments in implementing and monitoring sales and marketing strategies related to merchandising and promotions execution in assigned accounts or territories.
Responsibilities
Key Outputs/Deliverables:
- • Achieve merchandising excellence in each store (as per the principals’ guidelines) that reflects the dominance of principal brands represented by World Brands products. This is to achieve the KPIs set by the principals as well as improve the sales performance of the related brands.
- • To identify opportunities in existing and new businesses/POS to expand principal brands across all channels of distributions
Principal Responsibilities:
- • Ensure display of products in accordance to Planograms.
- • Ensure that products are displayed, at least, relative to its market share.
- • Monitor the use of merchandising equipment.
- • Ensure the proper use and distribution of POP materials through all channels.
- • Ensure that promotions whether consumer or in store are executed in accordance to specific guidelines stipulated by Marketing Manager and the Brand Managers.
- • Continuously seek to grow the business through the solicitation and implementation of strategies that will increase share of shelf and incremental displays.
- • Identify new business opportunities in channels not currently served by World Brand Services with a view to expand sales and representation of principal brands.
- • Be able to coordinate and guide a merchandising team in achieving desired merchandising objectives.
- • Provide feedback to the Marketing Manager/Commercial Manager and Brand Managers on opportunities identified as well as areas for improvement as per the
- • Perform any other duties delegated from time to time to maintain a high level of efficiency within the department.
Performance Criteria:
- • Gain at least three (3) secondary displays quarterly.
- • Gain at least one (1) additional facing in at least ten (10) accounts monthly.
- • Gain new business through scheduled trade visits

- • demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; applies feedback to improve performance; strives to increase productivity and monitors own work to ensure quality.
- • Experience in a Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG)/retail or grocery distribution environment.
- • Ability to create win/win situations that will garner support from our customers and staff through persuasive and effective means.
- • Understanding the methods of merchandising and its impact on sales.
Qualifications
- • At minimum - Diploma in Business or Sales or Merchandising or related field.
- • Four CXC/GCE O’Level subjects including English Language and a numeric subject.
- • At least 3 years Merchandising experience at a Senior Level
- • Computer literacy and knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
