Technical Programme Manager
Summary
Manage a portfolio of technical projects that are diverse in size, duration and complexity, running concurrently and often with shared resources. Provide project management leadership and work directly with GPMO Senior Management team to provide updates, recommendations and advice to Project Sponsors and key stakeholders on the overall health of programmes and/or projects.
Responsibilities
Manage programs/projects for successful delivery by:
- • Providing direct management of assigned programs or projects by ensuring that all projects assigned are operating to plan.
- • Help to promptly resolve problems that may arise within the project team or with partners.
- • Leading reviews with the Project Sponsor and stakeholders to identify specific program needs, changes and directs the development of appropriate approaches to address.
- • Maintaining and securing project documentation which comprehensively and accurately.
- • Reviewing and manage project budgets to ensure the most prudent use of the company’s funds.
- • Recommending implementation strategies that ensure proper support and maintenance after implementation.
- • Partner with the Project Sponsor to communicate program goals, objectives and potential outcomes, changes and benefits.
- • Assist in the preparation of budgets, cost benefit analyses and scope definition for new initiatives.
- • Participate in the maintenance and improvement of the Group Project Management standards, ensuring alignment with Project Management best practices.
- • Participate in planning team building and training activities for the project team.
- • Perform other job-related duties assigned from time to time.
Required Skills

- • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- • Experience in the use of Project Management tools.
- • High awareness of emerging market technologies, data analytics, process re-engineering, business trends, and global news.
- • Sound knowledge of computer software packages including word processing and spread sheet applications.
Qualifications
- • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer-based Management Information Systems or relevant discipline from a recognized tertiary institution.
- • A minimum of five (5) years working experience in project management with at least three (3) years at the senior project manager level.
- • Experience in the Financial Services sector would be an asset.
- • Formal training in the field of Project Management.
