Branch Ambassador
Summary
The incumbent is accountable for the achievement of the service delivery and member satisfaction strategic objectives as well as the efficient processing of member requests in order that the Credit Union achieves its Mission, Vision and Major Targets.
Responsibilities
Planning:
- • Contribute to the Retail and Sales Department Strategic Planning process.
- • In conjunction with the Branch Supervisor, prepare own Job Accountability, performance targets and Individual Development Plan.
Execution:
- • Monitor and manage all walk-in members, stakeholders and suppliers
- • Route and direct walk-ins to the appropriate service area or person.
- • Respond to members’ queries and requests for balances, statements and product information.
- • Log complaints received and inform Branch Supervisor
- • Inform walk-ins of services offered by the Credit Union and encourage usage.
- • Deliver high quality customer service at all times.
- • Assist with member service transactions to reduce wait time.
- • Assist and participate in the branch marketing activities as directed.
Monitoring and Reporting:
- • Assist in the preparation of the Branch’s monthly performance report; attend monthly department meetings to discuss performance, ensuring there are diagnoses and prognoses for any performance variances.
- • Submit Weekly Sales Performance report to reflect achievements against assigned targets.
Required Skills
- • In depth knowledge of the Credit Union’s products, systems, strategies, policies and procedures.
- • Sound knowledge of general Credit Union principles and procedures.
- • Knowledge of the Acts and Regulations governing Credit Unions (e.g. Co-operative and Friendly Societies Act, Money Laundering Act (POCA), TPA etc.).
- • In depth knowledge of the principles and practices of sales, marketing and customer relations.
- • Excellent human relations and communication skills.
- • Proficiency in the use of computer software applications including Microsoft and Excel.
- • Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
- • Capacity to organize and prioritize work.
- • Ability to process high volume data entry with speed and accuracy.
- • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- • Motivated by the attainment of excellent customer service.
Qualifications
- • Associate Degree in Business Administration, Management, Accounting, Finance, or equivalent from an accredited tertiary institution.
- • A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a similar position, particularly in Member/Client/Customer Relationship in a credit union, commercial or investment bank.
Additional Information and Instructions
Working Conditions:
- • Some mental pressure due to demand by Members and Staff.
- • Normal office environment.
- • Required to work at various hours/days (including weekends) as necessary to handle job activities and responsibilities.
