Intake Specialist - Mental Health Clinic (LATAM)

Veta Virtual invites you to join our remote team as an Intake Specialist, where you’ll play a vital role in helping individuals access mental health support in a compassionate and efficient manner.

Benefits

This role offers a salary of $1,000 USD - $1,200 USD per month, with flexibility for negotiation based on experience. You’ll work remotely from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM (EST), as part of a supportive, mission-driven team dedicated to making a positive difference in mental health. Additionally, we also offer Paid Time Off as we believe this is important for our team members and their work-life balance.

Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll be the initial contact for new clients, guiding them through the intake process for our client, a mental health outpatient clinic. Your responsibilities include:

• Client Engagement:

  • • Welcome clients via phone, answer inquiries, and provide service information, ensuring a positive first impression.

• Intake & Initial Assessments:

  • • Conduct screenings to gather essential client information, including demographics, medical history, and presenting issues.

• Documentation & Confidentiality:

  • • Maintain accurate client records, intake notes, and ensure HIPAA-compliant data handling.

• Scheduling & Coordination:

  • • Work with clinicians to arrange initial appointments, communicate client needs, and facilitate smooth transitions into care.

• Data Management:

  • • Keep electronic health records (EHR) organized and up-to-date, ensuring data integrity.

• Follow-Up:

  • • Conduct follow-ups, manage inquiries, and maintain an organized list of potential clients and pending intakes.

Qualifications

• • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field (preferred)
• • 2+ years in a client services role, ideally with intake or customer-facing responsibilities
• • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
• • Proficiency in EHR systems and Microsoft Office Suite
• • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team
• • Empathy and interpersonal skills to handle sensitive information with care
• • Experience in the healthcare, mental health field is a plus but not a must
