
Filing Assistant (Contract)
Summary
Use alphabetical and numerical systems in accordance with the company’s standards to retrieve, organize, file, distribute and store health claims and supporting documents daily.
Responsibilities
- • Ensure that all scanned and manually processed claims are filed on a daily basis.
- • Retrieve and deliver claims requested for query and random audit each morning.
- • Remove batches of claims to secondary storage.
- • Maintain excel reports of daily productivity, in order to submit a monthly report to the unit’s supervisor.
- • Perform other related duties assigned from time to time.
Required Skills
- • Basic knowledge of computer software packages including spreadsheet and word processing applications.
- • Keen attention to details and the ability to work with a high level of accuracy.
- • The ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- • The ability to maintain confidentiality.
Qualifications
- • Six (6) subjects at the GCE (Ordinary) or CXC (general Proficiency) level, including English Language and Mathematics.
- • Successful completion of HIA or LOMA introductory levels 1 & 2 would be considered an asset.
- • A minimum of two (2) years' working experience would be an asset.
