Accident Investigator

Summary

The JUTC is a limited liability company incorporated under the Companies Act of Jamaica and owned by the Government of Jamaica (GOJ). Reporting to the Ministry of Science, Energy, Telecommunications and Transport, the JUTC is the exclusive provider of public transit services in the Kingston Metropolitan Transit Region. The Company delivers public transport services seven days a week and, in some instances, up to 14 hours a day. We, therefore, invite an individual who is proactive, action-oriented, and dedicated to join the JUTC as an Accident Investigator. 💰Salary: $2.8M JMD per annum payable monthly, and related benefits.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Accident Administrator, the incumbent will be required to perform duties to include but not limited to investigating incidents/accidents to determine circumstances and liabilities and preparing reports for recovery of claims and/or defense of claims.

Required Skills

• • Excellent investigative and interviewing skills.
• • Knowledge of the road network within Montego Bay and its environs.
• • Strong ethics, confidentiality & reliability.
• • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Suite.
• • Strong knowledge of physics.
• • Excellent interpersonal skills and knowledge of team dynamics.
• • The ability to work under pressure to meet stringent deadlines.
• • Detail-oriented.
• • Strong oral and written communication skills.
• • Good administrative and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• • Certification from the College of Insurance and Professional Studies or equivalent qualification with at least two (2) years working experience in insurance, automotive or security services.
OR
• • NVO-J Business Administration Management L4 or its equivalent from a recognized institution at least four (4) years working experience in a related field.
