Utilities Operator
Summary
We are looking for a skilled and proactive Utilities Operator to manage and maintain the critical utility systems in our brewery, including boilers, refrigeration system, CHP Plant, water treatment, and compressed air systems. The ideal candidate will ensure the efficient operation of these systems, minimizing downtime and optimizing performance to support production goals. The candidate must be able to adapt to the Total Productivity Management (TPM) Tool. Responsibilities
- • Operate and maintain essential utility systems, including boilers, chillers, water treatment, and compressed air systems.
- • Monitor system performance, identify inefficiencies, and take corrective actions to ensure optimal operation.
- • Perform regular preventive maintenance tasks on utility equipment to minimize downtime and extend lifespan.
- • Troubleshoot and repair any utility system failures or malfunctions quickly to avoid production disruptions.
- • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards while operating utility systems.
- • Conduct routine inspections of equipment and facilities, document conditions and report any issues.
- • Manage energy usage and identify opportunities to reduce consumption and improve efficiency.
- • Assist in system start-up and shut-down procedures while ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- • Collaborate with the production and maintenance teams to address utility-related concerns and support operational needs.
- • Maintain accurate records of system performance, maintenance activities, and any incidents or repairs.
Qualifications
- • A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related technical field is preferred.
- • HVAC Certification (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning)
- • Boiler Operator License or equivalent
- • Water Treatment Certification (e.g., Certified Water Treatment Operator)
- • One (1) - three (3) years of experience in operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting utility systems
- • Experience in monitoring system performance using gauges, meters, and control panels, with the ability to identify and address operational issues promptly.
- • Familiarity with safety protocols and regulatory compliance related to utilities operations, including lockout/tagout procedures and environmental standards.
