Procurement Technology Associate
Summary
The JESS Associate will be responsible for facilitating the negotiation and execution of procurement-related contracts within the technology category. This includes, but is not limited to Master Service Agreements, Statements of Work, Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) Agreements, Trial Agreements, Amendments, and Order Forms. Operationally, the role has responsibility for performing due diligence, including but not limited to sourcing, negotiations, contracting and supplier management processes. A successful candidate will collaborate and deliver results in conjunction with various departments across the firm including DN, Audit, Tax, Advisory, legal, compliance and risk mitigation departments to ensure adherence with respective policies and contractual terms. The JESS Procurement Associate reports primarily to the JESS Strategic Sourcing & Procurement Team Lead but will also take direction from other Manager Client team members who are accountable for supported work. Responsibilities
- • ​Collaborate with KPMG US stakeholders to establish a strong partnership, evaluate existing practices, and challenge conventional approaches. Educate and enforce compliance with procurement policies, ensuring widespread adoption.
- • ​Work with KPMG legal team and other relevant departments to ensure the proper representation and enforcement of critical terms and conditions.
- • ​Lead moderately complex negotiations with suppliers and stakeholders.
- • ​Provide weekly timely/accurate status updates to Strategic Sourcing and Procurement management team, Contract Asset Management (CAM) and business units.
- • ​Manage the execution of contractual documents.
- • ​Contribute to and execute category strategies within the SSP Technology team.
- • ​Work closely with stakeholders to ensure compliance to Firm policies and standards throughout the contracting process.
- • ​Support supplier diversity and sustainability goals.
- • ​Work with legal to negotiate proper representation and enforcement of critical terms and conditions during the contracting process.
- • ​Develop meaningful internal stakeholder relationships to implement and drive procurement strategy and policies.
Required Skills
Technical:
- • Working knowledge of technology strategic sourcing processes and controls and ability to coordinate with respective stakeholder groups and compliance functions
- • ​Have a working knowledge of common contractual issues to effectively mitigate risk and negotiate sound IT acquisitions and renewals.

- • ​Strong prioritization skills and ability to effectively overcome obstacles to execute agreements in a timely fashion.

Qualifications
- • Bachelor’s Degree in Senior or Equivalent Professional Accreditation
- • ​Have a minimum of three years of recent experience in sourcing, contract negotiation, supplier management, outsourcing, and project management of software/SaaS agreements. This experience should demonstrate a track record of success in positions of increasing complexity.
- • ​Have a working knowledge of common contractual issues & terms to drive value, effectively mitigate risk and negotiate sound IT acquisitions & renewals.
- • ​Proficiency and knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) is required.
- • ​Possess a strong interpersonal, collaborative, and influencing skills to navigate a complex management and organizational structure with a high degree of ambiguity.
- • ​Ability to work effectively with suppliers, project team members, project sponsors, functional leads, and senior management.
- • ​Lead, support, and conduct successful negotiations.
- • ​Possess the ability to build strong and trusting relationships with business partners.
- • ​Solid organizational, time management, and project management skills.
- • ​Able to effectively execute multiple projects, RFXs (Request for Proposals, Request for Quotes, etc.), and contract negotiations simultaneously.
- • ​Additionally, the candidate should possess demonstrated analytical, financial, problem-solving, organizational, and project management skills. This includes skills in stakeholder management and facilitating meetings.
Additional Information and Instructions
SPECIAL CONDITIONS:
- • Expected to work in a demanding fast paced team environment
- • Hybrid work model, allowing flexibility between working from home in Jamaica and being in the office. You will be required to spend a minimum of five days each month in the office, though this number may increase depending on business needs.
- • ​Will be working primarily in a paperless environment and expected to be using information systems for the entire workday to access data or perform activities
- • ​May be required to work extended hours periodically or on public holidays
