
Audit Supervisor
Summary
The successful applicant will be responsible for evaluating the organization's information technology systems, processes, and controls. This role involves assessing IT risks, performing audits, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. The IT Auditor will provide valuable insights to assist in improving the firm's IT governance and control framework.
Responsibilities
- • Conduct IT audits, including application, system, and operational audits to evaluate the effectiveness of IT controls.
- • Assess the design and operational effectiveness of IT security and data protection measures.
- • Review IT policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with regulations and industry best practices.
- • Identify security vulnerabilities and recommend improvements to mitigate IT risks.
- • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information and facilitate audit processes.
- • Prepare detailed audit reports outlining findings, risks, and recommendations for management.
- • Stay current with emerging trends and advancements in IT auditing and cybersecurity.
- • Assist in the development of the annual IT audit plan based on risk assessments.
- • Provide guidance and support during external audits, serving as a liaison between auditors and the IT department.
- • Conduct follow-up audits to assess the implementation of recommendations.
Qualifications
- • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- • Five (5) years of experience in IT auditing, information systems, or security.
- • Knowledge of IT audit frameworks (e.g., COBIT, ISO 27001, NIST).
- • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards (e.g., Sarbanes-Oxley, GDPR).
- • Relevant certifications (e.g., CISA, CISSP, CISM) are preferred.
- • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively report findings and collaborate with stakeholders.
- • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks within deadlines.
