Summary

A detail-oriented Accountant responsible for comprehensive financial management, including record maintenance, compliance, reporting, payroll, and team supervision, ensuring accuracy and efficiency within JTRS.

Responsibilities

​As an Accountant at JTRS, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• • Maintaining and reviewing financial records for accuracy and completeness.
• • Ensuring compliance with accounting and taxation regulations.
• • Preparing and submitting monthly profit and loss statements.
• • Evaluating internal controls, procedures, and risks to provide recommendations.
• • Managing business bank accounts and assisting the accounting team in preparing financial statements.
• • Managing assigned employee expense cards (gas, credit, or prepaid cards).
• • Managing budgets and providing financial reports.
• • Assisting with supplier onboarding to establish and maintain credit relationships.
• • Collaborating with the various departments to maintain the accuracy of financial EDI records between management platforms and accounting software.
• • Preparing and submitting payroll and employee deductions.
• • Preparing daily cash balances.
• • Preparing cash flow statements.
• • Receivables and payables management.
• • Supervising the accounting clerk.

Required Skills

• • Proficiency in MS Office applications
• • Proficiency in accounting software (Quickbooks)
• • Sound knowledge of accepted accounting practices and principles
• • Strong analytical & problem-solving skills
• • Excellent organizational skills
• • Excellent communication skills

Qualifications

• • Degree in Accounting or ACCA qualification
• • Minimum 4 years experience in a senior accounting role
