
Corporate and Strategic Planner
Summary
The Jamaica Agricultural Commodities Regulatory Authority (JACRA), a statutory body dedicated to regulating Jamaica's Coffee, Cocoa, Coconut, and Spices Industries, is inviting applications from suitably qualified persons for the position of Corporate and Strategic Planner. Reporting to the Director General, the Corporate and Strategic Planner will establish and maintain a system for integrating JACRA's Corporate, Strategic, Operational, and Business Plans, as well as Performance Monitoring processes. This role ensures that all plans and related budgets meet required quality and standards, effectively achieving organizational and national policy objectives within available resources.
Responsibilities
- • Recommendations and technical advice provided.
- • JACRA's Strategic, Corporate, Operational, and Business Plans developed and monitored.
- • Effective corporate, operational, planning, and monitoring processes and procedures designed, implemented, and monitored.
- • Reports, papers, analyses, and presentations on performance outcomes and various corporate planning issues prepared and submitted.
- • Monitoring and evaluation guidelines developed and issued to divisional and unit heads.
- • Corporate Planning reviews developed and conducted to ensure compliance with established standards.
- • Data collection and recording systems established and implemented.

- • Knowledge of Performance Monitoring Techniques and their applications.
- • Knowledge of Research Methodology.
- • Knowledge of the operations of Government/Department's policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- • Postgraduate degree in Business or Public Administration, Economics, or any equivalent education and training with three (3) years of working experience, OR
- • A First Degree in Business Administration, Public Policy, Statistics, or Economics and a minimum of five (5) years' experience in a related field.
- • Specialized training in Strategic Planning and/or Project Management and Statistics.
- • Experience in Monitoring and Evaluation activities.
