General Manager
Summary
National & Community Co-operative Credit Union Limited is seeking to engage an inspiring, leader as its General Manager. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the General Manager is responsible for the achievement of the operational, strategic, financial, compliance and member service objectives of the Cred it Un ion that will enable the achievement of targets in a sustainable manner.
Responsibilities
- • Ensure successful implementation of programs, creatively adapting the Credit Union's areas of focus to emerging needs and opportunities
- • Have oversight and management of the overall operations of the loans portfolio, delinquency portfolio, internal and external cash controls, and monitoring and marketing of the Credit Union's products and services
- • Lead the formation, execution, and implementation of a Strategic Plan
- • Ensure compliance with statutory obligations, regulations, and policies, that is, the Financial Institutions Act, the Co-operative Societies Act, and any subsequent enabling legislation
- • He/She is responsible for fostering and maintaining amicable alliance with external partners and relevant authorities
- • Lead, coach and motivate all team members to advance employee engagement and develop/maintain a high performing team
Required Skills
- • Excellent analytical, problem solving and public speaking skills
- • Strong written and oral communications skills and the ability to build teams and manage projects
- • Well-honed technological skills
- • Mature individual with demonstrated strong work ethics and integrity
- • Sound knowledge of Human Resource Management and Industrial Relations Policies and Practices
- • Flexibility and willingness to work occasionally beyond normal working hours and unusual work conditions as may be required
Qualifications
- • Master's Degree covering Finance, Business Management, Accounting, or other relevant discipline
- • Job-related training from a recognized institution inclusive of but not limited to Audit, ERM, Governance, Policy guidelines
- • Minimum five (5) years' working experience preferably in a Credit Union or other Financial institution at the Management Level
- • Must own and operate a reliable motor vehicle to be used in the performance of duties
