Maintenance Planner

Summary

The successful candidate will prepare and deliver work plans for maintenance activities in a timely, efficient and effective manner to improve workforce productivity and maximize plant availability. S/He will be the point of contact for the execution of all work orders at the Refinery.

Responsibilities

  • Receives all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance requests.
  • Develops integrated work plans for selected jobs including Corrective, Preventative, Projects and Management of Change activities.
  • Audits maintenance work plans for compliance with Company and Industrial Standards.
  • Independently or in collaboration with the Scheduling Team, determines priority rating for each job, based on the assessment of the issue.
  • Manages quality, cost and manpower estimation for work plans.
  • Maintains and improves work plan database in SAP.
  • Generates work plan compliance and performance reports.
  • Participates in root cause failure analysis investigation to help improve equipment reliability.
  • Initiates requests to the Warehouse for parts and equipment required for scheduled maintenance.
  • Organizes Preventative Maintenance (PM) scheduling from SAP.
  • Maintains and updates the database on scheduled jobs and their expected completion times.
  • Organizes daily and weekly planning meetings.

Required Skills

  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Team player with good analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong negotiation skills and good communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Proven proficiency with Microsoft Suite.
  • Knowledge of Application MS Project.

Qualifications

  • B.Sc. in Engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • A minimum of five (5) years' mechanical or electrical maintenance experience, preferably in an industrial environment.
  • Experience with Maintenance Program 2 (MP2) and SAP Application.
  • Certification - Maintenance and Reliability Professional
  • OR
  • Diploma in Engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • A minimum of ten (10) years' mechanical or electrical maintenance experience, preferably in an industrial environment.
  • Certification - Maintenance and Reliability Professional.
