Ingredients Room Technician

Summary

The Best Dressed Chicken Division of Jamaica Broilers Group Limited is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Ingredients Room Technician to support our Further Processing Facility. This role will be crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our production process by managing ingredient inventory, mixing and batching, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Responsibilities

• • Perform the accurate, efficient and safe mixing portions of seasoning and spices for use in production.
• • Be responsible for assisting with the planning, coordinating and monitoring of the Further Processing Facility seasoning room operations to ensure customer, industry and regulatory compliance.
• • Carry out inventory management for ingredients used in the Further Processing Facility inclusive of ordering, inventory control, stock rotation and capacity control.
• • Be responsible for raw material receival, verification and stock taking of all ingredients.

Qualifications

• • Knowledge of seasonings, spices, sauces, breadings and batters.
• • Good inventory management techniques.
• • Formal training in handling all types of ingredients.
• • At least one (1) year experience in mixing seasoning and spices.
• • Sound understanding of good manufacturing practices and types of food allergens.
• • Sound knowledge of food safety principles.
• • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• • Self-directed and motivated.
• • Competency in Microsoft Office Suite.

• Other Requirements:

  • • Flexibility to work shifts, including early mornings, late nights, and/or weekends.
