Summary

Maintains safe and secure environment for customers and employees by patrolling and monitoring premises and personnel. Perform all appropriate related and unrelated duties, as directed.

Responsibilities

The following are specific responsibilities and contributions critical to the successful performance of the position:

• • Greet customers when they are entering the store.
• • Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises.
• • Check customer receipts at door.
• • Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures; restraining trespassers.
• • Act lawfully in direct defense of life or property
• • Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property, monitoring surveillance equipment, inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry.
• • Answer alarms and investigate disturbances.
• • Write reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
• • Use walkie-talkies, pagers, and cell phones to stay in contact with security personnel.
• • Regulate and monitor building systems.
• • Assist in the closing of the store.

Qualifications

• • Must be certified and trained.
• • At least 3 years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
• • Must be computer literate
