Summary

To develop, implement and oversee the administration of Employee Benefits insurance and risk management solutions on behalf of clients and to generate new business growth and renewal of existing portfolio through advisory skills, market knowledge, follow-up and auxiliary services to the clients’ satisfaction and within the company’s guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • To create new business opportunities and convert sales lead.
  • To oversee the efficient management of the account portfolio of clients and provide guidance and supervision to other members of staff.
  • To maintain a working knowledge of the company’s correspondent relationships with overseas markets and to be able guide and implement such reporting requirements as may arise.
  • To anticipate circumstances and their impact and initiate advice on such matters pertinent to client portfolio.
  • Meet with clients and provide professional advice on Insurance matters/products as is necessary.
  • Identify markets and discuss with clients for implementation
  • To keep clients fully informed relative to product/market changes with affect their Insurance portfolio.
  • Bind coverage with Insurance companies and have documents prepared accurately and in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Ensure that Insurance companies are provided with written confirmation of instructions on or before renewal date.​​​​​​
  • To represent the Company as required at various seminars, conferences, etc. as may become necessary.

Required Skills

  • Working knowledge of all classes of employee benefits insurance
  • The ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Must be able to handle multiple priorities/have good organizational skills
  • Good time management skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Good sales and marketing skills.

Qualifications

  • At least five (5) year’s experience within the Insurance Industry in a supervisory/sales capacity, accompanied by sound product knowledge.
  • The FLMI or its equivalent.
  • Bachelor Degree.
