
Assistant Manager, Maintenance and Engineering
Summary
As an Assistant Manager, Maintenance and Engineering, you will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the operations and functionalities of facilities and buildings within our organization. This includes taking charge of surrounding grounds and multiple facilities across the property.
Responsibilities
- • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and local business plans to guide and improve facilities management and maintenance activities.
- • Supervise and oversee the work of service, support, or technicians teams, providing guidance and direction when necessary.
- • Regularly inspect facilities and buildings to ensure their proper functioning, safety, and compliance with regulations.
- • Coordinate maintenance, repairs, and upgrades of facility equipment and systems to minimize downtime and improve efficiency.
- • Develop and maintain strong relationships with external vendors and contractors to ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials and services.
- • Establish and monitor budgets for maintenance and engineering projects, ensuring accurate financial reporting and optimal resource allocation.
- • Implement risk management strategies to identify potential issues, prevent accidents, and reduce operational downtime.
- • Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to address facility-related concerns, and participate in cross-functional projects as needed.
- • Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives to optimize facility performance and contribute to organizational goals.
- • Foster a safety-first culture within the team, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and organizational safety requirements.
- • Complete additional tasks or responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications
Education:
- • Bachelor's Degree in a related field is preferred.
- • Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Certifications:
- • Certified Facility Manager (CFM)
- • Certified Plant Engineer (CPE)
- • Additional certifications may be required or preferred
Work Experience:
- • Manages the activities of service, support, or technician teams
- • Decisions are guided by policies, procedures, and local business plan
- • Receives guidance and oversight from higher-level manager
- • Typically doesn't perform the work supervised
- • Has 4 to 5 years of work experience
- • Has 1 to 2 years of management experience
