Channel and Promotions Assistant-Wines and Spirits

Summary

Grace Foods and Services Co (A Division of GraceKennedy Limited) Invites applications from suitably qualified and pragmatic individuals for the position of: CHANNEL AND PROMOTIONS ASSISTANT - WINES & SPIRITS Reporting to the Commercial Manager, the incumbent will be required to assist in planning and execution of all channel promotions and events for Harbour Wines & Spirits.

Responsibilities

• • Planning and executing on-premise, off premise, consumer, media and any other promotions related event
• • Monthly trade visits across all channels
• • Assist in the planning and execution of the unit's annual calendar along with budgets for each activity
• • Work closely with Brand Management and the Business Development Officers/Manager to execute agreed promotions and events
• • Monitor the usage of all promotions related inventory to protect the Unit's resources for successive use
• • Provide monthly reports on brand performance versus budget on trade/marketing activities
• • Ensure listing of all new products on chain stores scanning systems
• • Identify growth opportunities and develop strategies to achieve same
• • Liaise and co-ordinate activities with external agencies providing marketing and promotional support services.
• • Works closely with the Promotions Technician to ensure the objectives of the Promotions & Events Unit are met.
• • Submit timely monthly reports on all activations
• • Adheres to GraceKennedy’s process to pay requirements for all projects and promotions.
• • Attendance at site visits as well as promotions and events to ensure effective execution.
• • Utilize initiative and creativity to find ways to always stand out at events and in-trade
• • Conduct a reconciliation of all promotional inventory materials once per quarter.
• • Performs any other duties delegated from time to time to maintain a high level of efficiency within the department

Required Skills

• • Excellent grasp of Microsoft Suite of Applications
• • Good, working knowledge of popular social networking sites
• • Knowledge of SAP Software, an asset
• • Strong numeric, analytical and spreadsheet skills
• • Excellent problem solving, coordination and organizational skills
• • Ability to work under pressure and in a team-oriented environment
• • Excellent communication, listening, written and verbal presentation skills
• • Is a dynamic self-starter who can operate in a fast-paced environment
• • Ability to work with minimal supervision and a high degree of accountability
• • Confidence to make decisions and take calculated risks
• • Is creative, highly organized and can handle many tasks at once
• • Own and operate a reliable motor vehicle
• • Ability to pay attention to detail and maintain a high degree of confidentiality

Qualifications

• • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing & Sales, Business Administration, Public Relations, Communications or related discipline
• • Minimum 1 years’ experience in Promotions, Marketing or Sales in the FMCG/Wines & Spirits industry
